How to do Permanent wave: steps for beginners: free form pattern

First shampoo the hair preferably with clarifying shampoo. Use the perm tools and end papers to rod the hair. Apply protective cream and cotton around the hairline and wear gloves to apply the permanent waving solution on each perm rod

Large perm rods are used to turn straight hair into wavy form. Change the cotton and use a shower cap to cover the head to maximize the processing time. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for processing time and procedure. Do a curl test if necessary. Remove the cotton and shower cap and rinse the hair with perm rods with warm water and towel blot the perm rods wound on hair. Apply more protective cream and use cotton around the hairline while neutralizing the hair. Wait for 5-10 minutes, remove the rods and rinse the hair, or follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. DO NOT SHAMPOO THE HAIR AFTER IT HAS BEEN PERMED FOR 2 DAYS.
