Your Model for State Board

YOUR PRACTICALhttp://www.youtube.com/user/BeautyHealthTravel?feature=mhum EXAMINATION PARTIALLY DEPENDS HOW DOES YOUR MODEL LOOK (NOT HOW ATTRACTIVE HE/SHE IS, BUT HOW HER HAIR, NAILS, EYEBROWS, AND SKIN LOOK FOR THE STATE BOARD EXAM)

Your models needs to have:

  • Shoulder length hair, preferably layered for finger-wave and state board set
  • Actual eyebrows, not tattoos for waxing procedure
  • Blemish free face for facial procedure (no artificial eyelashes are allowed)
  • Clean scalp free of cuts, abrasions and diseases for hair procedures
  • Toenails free of diseases, fungus, etc., for pedicure procedure
  • Nails with free edge (the portion of the nail that is extends from the skin) for artificial nail procedure (no artificial nails are permitted)
  • Proper valid ID for admission to State Board
  • Good attitude and ability to stay silent for the duration of the test (surprised that this is important?), I had 5 students this year you failed because of their model's talking
  • Understanding that this is a test and not a beauty makeover (tell them you have guidelines to follow, and promise to fix their hair, makeup, etc. after the test day, if they would have concerns; explain all this a day or more before the test, so they would not give you disturbing questions, attitude or body language communication at state board)
Your model cannot be:
  • Cosmetologist
  • Cosmetology instructor
  • Cosmetology students
  • Esthetician or anyone affiliated with cosmetology or beauty industry
