Currently, the State Board Examination practical and written parts are performed in one day.
You must:
- Have a valid picture ID (passport, license, not a school ID) to be accepted into the exam
- Have the appointment letter sent to you by State Board (you must show this when entering the facility, carry it with you!)
- Have a model for the practical part of the test
- Have implements to perform the practical part of the test (there are a lot of Kit Companies that can rent you a Kit for $100, or you can make your own Kit of implements by following the list of necessary implements provided by the State Board in your letter)
- Know how to use a computer for written/theory part of the examination (not to worry; if you can use the bank teller machine, you can use the State Board Computer)
- Be on time! Consider the traffic, parking, your nervousness, your model, or any other obstacles that can make you late.
- Wear a lab coat with no school logos on it
Your model must:
- Have a valid picture ID (check for the expiration date before you choose your model), check if the model has it with her/him on the exam day - you can lose your practical portion of the exam, if the model's ID has expired, or not with her/him.
- Have a lab coat (you can rent it at the Kit Company store or $5.00-10.00, or provide it yourself) MORE ABOUT THE MODEL-NEXT
